A Year of Growth and Connection
As the festive season takes hold, the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce reflects on a year filled with growth, connection, and community. This December, we celebrate the spirit of the holidays by spotlighting our members who have made significant contributions to the vitality of our local economy and the well-being of our residents.
Networking and Community Engagement
The November AVCC Networking Breakfast, featuring Gabriela Littlejohn of The Boys & Girls Club of Capistrano Valley, was a testament to our thriving community spirit. Gabriela’s insightful presentation underscored the importance of giving back and fostering connections within our community. This event was not just a networking opportunity but also a reminder of the values that underpin the Chamber’s mission.
Similarly, the October Networking Breakfast with the American Red Cross, featuring Kimberly Aufrecht, highlighted the importance of preparedness and community support. These gatherings are a cornerstone of our Chamber’s activities, providing a platform for members to connect, learn, and grow together.
Spotlight on Our Members
Our Member of the Month features have brought to light the diverse and dynamic businesses that call Aliso Viejo home.
In November, Member of the Month Cruise Planners was recognized for their exceptional travel services. Co-owner Mark McCready shared insights into their business model, reflecting the adventurous spirit of Aliso Viejo residents.
In October, WinStor, Inc., led by innovative entrepreneur Sandy Zimmer, showcased its prowess in storage solutions. Their recognition as October’s Member of the Month underscores our commitment to highlighting businesses that contribute significantly to our community’s growth.
Community Events and Gatherings
Lupe’s Mexican Eatery has been a lively spot for our members, hosting the October Mixer event. This event has become a staple for our Chamber, providing a casual and friendly atmosphere for members to connect over delicious food.
The State of the City event at Glaukos Corporation was another highlight of the year. It not only showcased Aliso Viejo’s economic development but also celebrated the achievements of our local businesses. Events like these are vital in fostering a sense of community and shared purpose among our members.
Board Retreat
On November 16th, the Aliso Viejo Board of Directors met for the Annual Retreat. We met at the Aliso Viejo Country Club and had a wonderful lunch and a very productive day of reflecting on the year and planning for 2024. We are fortunate to have 5 new board members that will be installed with our existing board at the chamber Gala/Installation and Awards Dinner on January 19, 2024 at the Renaissance Club Sport.
