The Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce January Installation and Awards Breakfast was one to remember. The Honorable Mayor Richard Hurt was in attendance to swear in the newly elected board of directors. Coincidentally, it was also the Mayor’s birthday.
With 2023 marking the Aliso Viejo Chamber’s 10-year anniversary, we were honored to have all of our past presidents in attendance, along with Mayor Pro Tem Mike Munzing, leading the event with the pledge of allegiance. Thank you to our Emcee, Duane Cave, Director and newly elected President of Moulton Niguel Water District!
Mayor Richard Hurt also welcomed Julie Wright, the chamber’s founder and first President, back into the fold as the new president for 2023.
Julie then presented awards to our Chamber President’s Circle members. We also honored and presented awards to:
Wedgewood Aliso Viejo Center, 2022 Business of the Year
Al Soley, Minuteman Press, 2022 Small Business of the Year
Sandy Zimmer & Hillary Briggs, 2022 Ambassadors of the Year
We honored Rene Carlos, the Treasurer of the Chamber, who served the organization for six years and completed his term on the board of directors. Rene gave his time to serve as chair of several committees throughout the years. Certificates were presented to the 2022 Chamber President Dave Fleming and Rene Carlos (not present). The Mayor, along with representatives of elected officials, thanked David for his service and recognized the work he’s done over the past year.
With 2022 now behind us, the Aliso Viejo Chamber is eagerly looking ahead to a new year filled with fresh faces and networking opportunities. On that note, be sure to attend our After Hours/ Mixer on Wednesday, January 25th, 5:30pm-7:00pm. Our mixer host will be St. Pepperoni in Aliso Viejo Town Center. This is a great opportunity to meet other chamber members and business leaders in our community. Looking forward to seeing you all there! Our February breakfast meeting will be held on Valentine’s Day, at Wedgewood Aliso Viejo Center, 7:30am-9:00am. Please join us for a festive meeting and be sure to bring a little love!
