The Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Holiday Breakfast took place on Tuesday, December 12th, 2023. Hosted by Emcee Bill Moorehead, Director of Moulton Niguel Water District, the event was a delightful mix of inspiration, joyful music, and networking (of course).
Inspiration and Reflection
The morning began with an inspirational message by Derek Vogel of Irvine Advisors. He shared the powerful story of Admiral Stockdale’s resilience as a Vietnam POW, highlighting the indomitable human spirit and its role in changing war propaganda.
Festive Fun
A highlight of the event was the eagerly anticipated ugly sweater contest. Harvey Ivory of Edward Jones stole the show with his full suit of festivity, sporting the joyous spirit of the season from head to toe.
The event took a melodious turn with Christmas carols led by members of the Chamber. Beau Nokes of Nokes & Nokes Law Firm showcased his musical talents on the guitar, while his wife, Shari, led a lively rendition of “Jingle Bells.” Chamber President Julie Wright with Help U Sell Wright & Platinum Edge Properties brought the room together with “Sleigh Ride” adding to the festive atmosphere.
Introductions and Holiday Wishes
In a heartwarming session, members and guests were asked what they wanted “selfishly” for the holiday season beyond the gift of goodwill. From family reunions to dream vacations and shopping sprees, the responses were an embodiment of the joy and hope that define this time of year.
The December Networking Breakfast was a celebration of the tight-knit Aliso Viejo community that reminded everyone of the importance of coming together, sharing joy, and looking forward to the future with optimism.
