The Wine Culture in Aliso Viejo

the-wine-culture-aliso-viejo-chamber-of-commerce-blogAs many people know, California is known for its delicious, high-quality wines. California is almost three-quarters the size of France and accounts for nearly 90 percent of American wine production. If California were a separate country, it would be the world’s fourth-largest wine producer in the world!

If you like a little wine with dinner, or for any occasion, a few Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce members have quite the selection for you to choose from.

Tasting Before You Buy

One of our Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce members, OC Winemart, believes that good wine is a wine you like. Nothing proves that more than OC Winemart’s super popular, Self-Serve Wine Bar system, so you can taste before you buy. A local panel of wine experts has approved every wine on the shelf which ensures that there is always a fantastic collection. If you decide to go to the OC Winemart, you will be able to discuss the wine with their employees, who will be able to find you something you will love.

Wine Tasting & Painting

Another one of our members, Pinot’s Palette, has come up with a fun new way to discover wine. While you are drinking your wine, a local artist will guide you through painting a masterpiece for you to take home. They call them Wine & Painting Parties. These are perfect for a girls’ night out or date night. Pinot’s Palette has events almost every single day, with a new painting at each party. To get registered, go to their Events Calendar on their website and choose a night that works for you and your friends. You will notice they also have themed nights for sangrias, mimosas, and beer. So, even if you are not a lover of the wine culture, you can still give this fun night out a try!

Hearty Meals and Bold Selections

If you enjoy wine with a wonderful home-cooked Italian meal, you can’t go wrong with Cosmo’s Italian Kitchen.  Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018, Cosmo’s is home for a delicious variety of dishes.  Cosmo’s has a tremendous selection of Italian wines from Chiantis and Pinot Grigios to Valpolicellas and Proseccos.
