Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers opened its second California store in Aliso Viejo Raising Cane's Grand Openingin December and now has 250 restaurants in 20 states with multiple new restaurants under construction. Aliso Viejo General Manager Bobbi Frye said she has been overwhelmed by the response her store has received from the community and is looking forward to introducing locals to the company’s One Love chicken finger meals. In addition to its focus on chicken fingers, Raising Cane’s is renowned for its commitment to active involvement in its local communities. In recent weeks, the restaurant has supported several area organizations, including Don Juan Avila Elementary School, Aliso Niguel High School and the Aliso Viejo Community Association. In addition, Frye and her fellow crew members hosted a donation site to help Aliso Niguel students collect canned food for the Second Harvest Food Bank prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 in Baton Rouge, La., and named for his yellow Labrador, Raising Cane, the rapidly growing chain recently earned the distinction of being among the top four quick service restaurant chains in the nation for 2014, according to the authoritative Sandelman & Associates Quick-Track study, based on food quality, customer service, cleanliness and other important factors. Hours of operation at the new Aliso Viejo location are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Five Questions with Bobbi Frye, General Manager, Fry Cook and Cashier, Aliso Viejo Raising Cane’s

CC: What are your and Raising Cane’s business philosophies?

BF: Cane’s focus is on quality Chicken finger meals, and being actively involved and a true partner in the community. We strive to be the BEST at one thing – Quality chicken finger meals. My personal philosophy is to be the best I can be at whatever job I am doing. Working at Cane’s aligns well with this because I am very much a part of the community wherever I go.

How did you begin to work at Raising Cane’s?

I started in June of this year after reading about how this company is so much a part of the community that it is in. I traveled to Dallas, TX to experience it first hand, and decided to make the move over to this great company!
What made Raising Cane’s decide on Aliso Viejo for a location?

The sites are selected by our team at the support center in Dallas, Tx. That team is always looking of for the best sites in which Cane’s can make an impact on the community and by being active partners. This area is home to a wide array of wonderful charities, service organizations and schools, and we are very proud to support them. We had a lot of fun helping the Aliso Niguel students with their food drive and we will continue to pitch in wherever we can to keep Aliso Viejo a great place to live, work, play and eat.

What do you like most about being a General Manager for Raising Cane’s?

The community outreach and support with Cane’s is the most exciting. Being in the restaurant business my entire life, I have had experience with many companies, and Cane’s is by far the best. Cane’s gives me the opportunity to run it like I own it, and I have the best support team in the world!

Your title is General Manager, Fry Cook and Cashier. What does this mean to you?

It means that although I run the restaurant, I am trained to do every position, and I am not afraid to jump in and help out whenever needed. My team knows this, and it makes us that much stronger!
