Soka University’s 12th Annual Peace Gala

Soka University will be celebrating their 12th Annual Peace Gala, Celebrating A Vision of Peace, this weekend, Saturday, October 8th. Festivities begin at 5 pm at the Soka Performing Arts Center with a cocktail hour and silent auction. Guests will then proceed to the Recreation Center to enjoy a gourmet dinner, program, fabulous entertainment, live auction, and of course, dancing! The night’s entertainment will be Jose Feliciano, who has over 45 Gold and Platinum records, 19 Grammy nominations, and 9 Grammy Awards, including the LARAS Award for Lifetime Achievement. Tickets are $350 per person and proceeds benefit the Soka University Scholarship Endowment. What better way to enjoy a formal night out than while you support the students of this local university! Aliso Viejo Aquatic CenterMovie Night at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center

The Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center invites us all to come together as a community for the last movie night of the season! The fun begins at 5 pm and guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and outside food and drink. And in the spirit of Halloween, there will even be an opportunity to win prizes if you dress up in costume! This free event is the perfect way to spend a date night or make it a family outing. Once the sun goes down, grab your seats and enjoy a movie under the stars.

Health, Safety and Resource Fair

The City of Aliso Viejo will be putting on its Health, Safety and Resource Fair November 5 as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to encourage healthy lifestyles. The fair will feature an array of health and safety information and resources from local organizations including the Orange County Fire Authority and Aliso Viejo Police Services. The City of Aliso Viejo will be teaming up with St. Joseph’s Health Mission Hospital to provide residents with complimentary flu shots and health assessments from 9 am until noon at the Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center.
