When was your firm established, and what types of services do you provide?
We’ve been in practice since 1985. We started our own firm in 1998, and have been Nokes & Nokes since then. We specialize in personal injury cases ranging from car accidents, dog bites, and premises liability to product liability and general negligence.
What are your goals for the future of your firm?
We have kept our firm small for a reason: we believe in providing personalized, one-on-one, caring service to our clients. Being injured is stressful, and it only gets more stressful once the medical bills start coming in. Adding to that, the landscape can get complicated when dealing with health insurance and government rights of reimbursement. Our goals have always been to reduce the stress on our clients, and ultimately make the process as comfortable for them as we can.
What’s the most memorable case you’ve worked on?
They’re all pretty memorable, but one that comes to mind involved a seven week trial where we (a 2-person law firm) were opposed by two very large firms who pulled out all the stops to defeat us and our clients. The opposing firms even had extra lawyers sitting in the audience at court monitoring the proceedings, so we were vastly outnumbered. However, we had a counter for every trick they had up their sleeve, and were able to resolve the case during jury deliberations.
What advice would you give to someone who may be looking for a personal injury lawyer?

We’re honored to be a part of this wonderful group of people we’ve met throughout our years with the Chamber. It’s a flattering recognition.
What do you enjoy about working within the Aliso Viejo community?
Aliso Viejo is a great place to run a business. Its location is a convenient distance from a number of major areas, and there are plenty of great things in and around town, such as Aliso and Wood Canyons and SOKA University with its renowned performing arts center.
Lastly, how has being an Aliso Viejo Chamber member helped your business?
We’ve met a lot of great people, and have had the pleasure of working with a handful of them. We’ve both given and received valuable referrals as a result of our membership in the chamber, and our network has grown significantly.
