Small businesses and nonprofits in Aliso Viejo have another opportunity to take advantage of the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program. Applications for Round 6 will be accepted starting Wednesday, April 28th at 9:00 AM through Tuesday, May 4th at 5:00 PM. The CA Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program provides grants from $5,000 to $25,000 to eligible small businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 and the related health and safety restrictions. Here’s what you need to know in order to apply:
Eligibility Requirements
You must be considered a small business or nonprofit organization to qualify. An eligible small business (sole proprietor, independent contractor, 1099 work, and or registered “for-profit” business entity) must have a yearly gross revenue of $2.5 million or less, with a minimum of $1,000. This amount is based on your most recently filed tax return. Eligible small nonprofits (registered 501(c)(3), 501(c)(19), or 501(c)(6) must also have a yearly gross revenue of at least $1,000 but no more than $2.5 million. This will be based on their most recently filed Form 990.
Applicants that have already applied and were not selected in Rounds 1, 2, 3 & 5 do not need to re-apply and will be automatically moved into Round 6.
Required Documents
- Application Certification: signed certification used to certify your business
- Business Financial Information:
- Most recent tax return filed (2019) – provided in an electronic form for online upload, such as PDF/JPEG or other approved upload format.
- Copy of official filing with the California Secretary of State, if applicable, or local municipality for the business such as one of the following: Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Organization, Fictitious Name of Registration or Government-Issued Business License.
- Government Issued Photo ID: Such as a Driver’s License or Passport
