Member of the Month: Feralflix

Aliso-Viejo-Chamber-Member-of-the-Month-FeraflixEach month, we like to recognize one of our members who has been an outstanding member of the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce and is adding to the Aliso Viejo community. This May, we are excited to celebrate Feralflix as our member of the month!

Andrew Helms, CEO of Feralflix, sat down with us to answer a few questions about his company and the experience he has had working with the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce.

AVCC: Tell us about yourself and your business.

Andrew: Feralflix is a video marketing agency that pushes the boundaries of what video can do. We work with the underrepresented, the locals, the small businesses and solo-entrepreneurs who have to compete in a world dominated by commercial giants. We treat every client like they are our only client. In fact, our clients aren’t really clients at all. They’re family. And we do everything we can to build their businesses to stand proud and secure in the good times and the bad.

AVCC: What is your biggest success in business?

Andrew: Most businesses fail within two years, so our biggest success is that we keep showing up day in and day out. Our clients deserve our best, and so do we. Yes, we’ve landed 5-figure deals that would be plenty to brag about, but our biggest successes are when a client shoots us a text or call to let us know they just landed their biggest deal yet or their video has just doubled their monthly revenue in a week. Those are the feel-good moments that make all the time and effort worth it.

AVCC: Tell us about your business’ experience in Aliso Viejo.

Andrew: We’ve loved growing and thriving in this community! Given our work, we often find ourselves traveling between San Diego and Los Angeles to complete our work. But we love having our home base here. There are so many small businesses around us and having a family-style community here makes the journey of building our own business more enjoyable.

AVCC: What do you like about being a member of the Chamber?

Andrew:  Absolutely, our favorite thing is being around like-minded people. They say proximity is power and that’s proven itself here in our Chamber. When we come to events, we know we’re getting to know people who can provide real guidance and support and that community has made our time here all the more worth it.

AVCC: How has being a member of the Chamber helped your business?

Andrew: I’ve had the opportunity to film several members of the Chamber as well as other local leaders of our community’s largest organizations. Having tangible assets that others within the community can view has brought a lot of local exposure, even though those assets haven’t even yet launched to the online world! Just that exposure alone has brought our name to the forefront of local leader’s thoughts and kicked off several conversations around how I can help their businesses grow through my service.
