Every month, the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce highlights an exceptional Chamber member organization. This month, the Chamber is pleased to feature Compass Bible Church as its August Member of the Month!
To learn more about Compass Bible Church and their excellent work in the community, we interviewed Brandon Mellor, the church’s Director of Communications. Below is a roundup of our Q&A.
AVCC: Tell us about Compass Bible Church.
Compass Bible Church: Compass Bible Church is a group of Christians who are passionate about God’s word and want to do our best to understand it, proclaim it accurately, and apply it to our lives every single day to make a difference in how we think, talk, and act. As we grow in our relationship with God, we know that our relationships with one another are enhanced and strengthened. We also know God will utilize us for his glory, to make a difference here in South Orange County and around the world.
Led by Senior Pastor Mike Fabarez, our church has ministry taking place for all ages every day on our campus at 140 Columbia. We have ministries for men, women, kids, junior high and high school students, college students, young single professionals, married couples, and more. Our weekends feature a Saturday 5 p.m. service and Sunday services at 9 and 11 a.m. You can learn more at compasschurch.org.
In January of 2020, we will officially launch Compass Bible Institute at 145 Columbia here in Aliso Viejo. CBI will provide a thorough biblical education that will prepare men and women for leadership in Christian ministry. Learn more at compassbibleinstitute.org.
AVCC: What is the mission of Compass Bible Church?
Compass Bible Church: Compass Bible Church exists to make disciples of Christ by seeing as many people as possible reached for Christ, taught to be like Christ, and trained to serve Christ. We do that by:
- Reaching people for Christ.
- Teaching people to be like Christ.
- Training people to serve Christ.
