Each month, we highlight one of our Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce members to showcase all the great businesses owned and operated in the City of Aliso Viejo. In July, we are excited to celebrate Advanced Dental as the member of the month!
To tell you a little bit more about Advanced Dental, we decided to interview Dr. Chitra Tiruveedula, who has had over 15 years of experience practicing dentistry and has been at Advanced Dental since 2015. Below is a summary of our Q&A.
AVCC: Tell us about your business.
Advanced Dental in Aliso Viejo provides high quality and affordable preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dental care. We use advanced technology, such as laser dentistry to facilitate pain-free dentistry. Our practice understands the convenience of having multiple specialized dental services, which is why we provide one-stop family dentistry for our patients. We truly care about providing our patients with dental services designed to fit their busy daily schedules without compromising the highest standards of dentistry.
In addition, our goal is to promote the best dental care within the local and regional community. To achieve our goal, we are building partnerships with local and regional organizations to promote dental health education and free workshops that include onsite consultation. We take pride in creating long-lasting relationships within our community to help improve the dental health of the residents in Aliso Viejo and surrounding cities.
AVCC: What is your biggest success in business?
Our biggest success in business is achieving excellent patient satisfaction. It is extremely difficult to earn a patient’s trust in dentistry, as most people think that dental care is “nice-to-have” but not “must-have,” which is not true.
It’s important to know that almost half (46%) of adult Americans suffer from preventable gum diseases, which might result in other serious diseases if not treated in a timely manner.
It is unfortunate that when we propose treatment plans, some patients think that we are trying to upsell. However, the reality is that I want nothing less than the best dental care for my patients. While it is difficult for any business to make all customers happy, I am extremely pleased that most of our patients are very satisfied with our services.
A patient’s healthy and confident smile is a compliment to me and my team, and I am grateful to several of our patients who shower us with such smiles all the time!

AVCC: Tell us about your business experience in Aliso Viejo.
In 2015, when my husband and I were searching for a good place in Orange County to relocate our family and business, we arrived in Aliso Viejo without knowing that the city exists. We fell in love with the city during that first visit, and since then we have been extremely happy with our experience in Aliso Viejo.
We love the fact that the city is well balanced with regards to the business and residential aspects, which I believe is a unique feature in small cities like Aliso Viejo. It has been relatively easy to conduct business in the city and the opportunity to interact with other local businesses have been very helpful and productive.
AVCC: What do you like about being a member of the Chamber?
As a member of the Chamber, I truly cherish all the new professional and personal relationships that I was able to build over time. The monthly events, networking breakfast and, the after-hours events are a great opportunity to meet other fellow business owners and to make new friends in the community. Most importantly, the staff at the Chamber has always been very helpful in quickly responding to any questions.
Being a member of the Chamber provided me a path to being more integrated with the local community, which I believe is very critical for the success of any small business.
AVCC: How has being a member of the Chamber helped your business?
First and foremost, we had increased visibility to my dental practice within the local community. We had new patients who came to our practice due to our participation in the Chamber events. I was able to make some B-to-B connections at the Chamber meetings, and these connections have been valuable in growing our business, and we continue to discuss ways to collaborate and build win-win relationships. I was able to meet the Mayor and some other key city officials, who were very cordial and assuring the open-door policy if we need any further help. We look forward to continuing to be an active member of the Chamber to grow our business as well as contribute to the City’s economic growth.
