Ross Chun was selected by his colleagues to serve as our Mayor for 2019 after serving as the Mayor Pro Term in 2018. Mayor Chun and his family have been residents of Aliso Viejo for nearly two decades and have always been very involved in the community and the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce.
Message from Mayor Ross Chun
Upon getting appointed, Mayor Chun shared his goals with the Orange County Register:
“Let’s work together. I am committing my year as mayor of Aliso Viejo to finding new and more effective ways to work together with the many agencies, businesses, constituent groups and community that make up our city. Aliso Viejo is beautiful, successful and a safe place to live, grow up and raise our families because of the many groups that support us, serve us, and provide for our citizens.
Each month, I plan to identify one of these important groups, like our school district, community association, Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce, senior communities and non-profit organizations and highlight their contributions to our quality of life in Aliso Viejo. I want to find new and more effective ways to work together with these organizations, and I invite my colleagues on the City Council to join me in celebrating their efforts and success in working with our city.”

Work Together With Us!
Every city has a Chamber of Commerce, but they aren’t all like Aliso Viejo’s Chamber of Commerce. We are a group of people that all live in, have businesses in, or work in Aliso Viejo. The Chamber of Commerce helps our members to network with other local businesses and connect with potential referral partners. But there is more to the chamber than that. While we have professional ties, our interactions feel much more like those of a family.
