It was all fun and games at this month’s Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce Networking Breakfast. Last Tuesday, the AVCC members gathered together for our monthly event at the Aliso Viejo Conference Center. However, we mixed things up with a morning full of backyard favorites like cornhole, Jenga, and a bit of hula-hoop.
This meeting was special, as the Aliso Viejo Chamber has partnered up with a non-profit to give back to the community further. Guests were asked to bring cash donations, $10, or $20 gift cards to local shoe stores. These donations were given to the Boys and Girls Club of Capo Valley to help kids in need receive new shoes for back to school.
The Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley is an after-school non-profit, offering quality programs in academic success and healthy lifestyles while building good character and leadership skills in our members. The club strives to accomplish their mission to inspire and enable all youth to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens by providing stimulating and challenging programs through interaction with dedicated, caring people. We are honored to have partnered with the club this month and help send kids off to school with the supplies they need to thrive.
Before heading into our main activity of the morning, the Chamber reminded members and guests that the new leads group is growing in popularity quickly! They meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings of each month from 8:45 to 10:00 am at Encore Offices. For more information about the new leads group, contact the Chamber.
Chamber members then broke into groups for a 30-minute roundtable session. During these sessions, businesses shared their business goals, who they’d like to connect with, and what they enjoy most about the AV Chamber. Then it was game time! We ended the meeting with open networking while we played some of our favorite backyard bbq games. It was a spirited, but friendly, competition.
The Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce creates member-to-member and member-to-community connections through the internet and social media as well as through events, like the Networking Breakfast!
