We are proud to announce our community will be supporting the cause! In celebration of “Parks Make Life Better” Month, the City of Aliso Viejo is partnering with Raising Cane’s and Hoag Health Center for our annual Walk with the Mayor program. Everyone is invited to join Mayor Mike Munzing and other community members for an hour-long walk around the Town Center Loop Trail. Mayor Munzing shared his excitement for the upcoming event saying, “I like this particular event because it’s designed to celebrate and embrace our pristine landscape while giving folks a healthy dose of exercise and a chance to chat about issues that matter to them most.” This program began back in 2007 as a walking club and with the help of then-mayor Bill Phillips, the club was transformed into an annual event.
This walk will kick off Monday evening, July 11th at 6 pm and continue every Monday until July 25th. The walk is approximately 3 miles, and people of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate. Not only is it great exercise, but it’s also an opportunity to get outside and meet new people. We encourage anyone interested to arrive early for a “stretch and refresh” led by Hoag staff members.
So grab your friends, family, and neighbors and join us for an evening of friendly faces and beautiful scenery! To RSVP or for more information, contact Gracie Duran at gduran@cityofalisoviejo.com or call (949) 425-2519.
