With May being National Stroke Awareness Month, Microvention was the perfect selection for this month’s Field Trip Friday. Microvention is a medical device company and Aliso Viejo Chamber member that develops catheter-based devices for neurovascular disorders such as strokes, brain aneurysms, and other neurovascular malformations.
Founded in 1997, the company is made up of over 2,000 engineers, chemists, marketers, manufacturers, researchers, and innovators across the globe. Their overarching goal is to create devices that provide a meaningful improvement in patient’s lives, specifically for the treatment of diseases in small blood vessels. Now, Microvention has honed in on aneurysm therapy with a line of implantable, detachable neuroendovascular platinum coils.
