How To Make The Most Out Of The Holidays

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Orange County! With Thanksgiving behind us, the holiday season has officially arrived. While there may not be snow on the ground, with so many holiday events taking place this month, it’s sure to feel like a winter wonderland! Here are a few ways to keep you and your family in the holiday spirit this season in Aliso Viejo.

Party With Santa

The Aliso Viejo Community Association is hosting its annual Winter Holiday Event at Grand Park on Sunday, December 4 from 4:30 until 7 pm. Bring the kids to meet and take photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and even Frosty the Snowman. In addition to the evening’s special guests, there will be live caroling, complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, and a number of arts and crafts activities for your youngsters to partake in! Give Back

Our local firefighters are collecting toys and sports equipment for children and teens through the Spark of Love Toy Drive. You can deliver unwrapped toys or new sports gear to the station at 57 Journey now through December 24th. The Aliso Viejo Boys & Girls Club is also collecting unwrapped gifts for all ages through December 6th. These toys will go towards Operation Holiday Homework. This incentives-based program was created for less fortunate children and rewards them for focusing on their education. The kids can cash in their homework dollars for gifts to give their parents and siblings this season.

Explore Christmas Lights

Pack the whole family into the car and take a drive to one of these local and spectacularly decorated neighborhoods. From twinkling decorations to oversized inflatable Santas and even flashing lights timed perfectly in-sync with your favorite Christmas songs, there’s no better way to get your family into the holiday spirit than to go on a little Christmas light display adventure.
