The Aliso Viejo Chamber welcomed new Chamber member Jeremy Webb and his distillery, Webb’s Grainworks, with our Field Trip Friday event this month!
The tour saw over 40 members and guests visit Jeremy’s distillery in the Pacific Park Plaza, recognizable by its signature caboose dining area.
Upon arrival, visitors previewed a live podcast hosted by Council Member Ross Chun, the Finding Ohana Podcast. During the episode, Ross ushered Jeremy into the chamber with a round of applause from attendees, offering a warm welcome before beginning the tour.
First, Jeremy led the group through the front of the restaurant, taking note of the decor and eye-catching refurbished train caboose. The back room was next, where attendees saw how Jeremy’s team processes grain to make their beer and spirits. After a quick crash course on their brewing processes, the group took a look at Webb’s signature West Virginia whiskey barrels.
Jeremy highlighted how all of their spirits and beer are made from grain. Their whiskey, for example, is 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley. Here and there, specialized grains such as red wheat and millet are used as well. The distillery will also feature a state-of-the-art kitchen, which will make its own bread from scratch daily – a product of the establishment’s commitment to grain.
To close it out, Jeremy took the group’s questions and shared details about the launch of Webb’s Grainworks, which is fastly approaching. Visit their website to find more details about Webb’s roster of beers, spirits, and their sample food menu.
