The Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce Legislative Meet and Greet is only 2 weeks away!

If you’re interested in:

  • Learning about the issues that affect your business and community
  • Hearing from the legislative leaders who represent you at the local, state, and federal levels
  • Networking with other professionals and civic-minded individuals in a relaxed and friendly setting

Then this is the event for you.

This is a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face with Congresswoman Young Kim, Assemblymember Diane Dixon, and Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley. They will be sharing valuable information on critical issues that carry local impact.

Once registered, you’ll join us at Wedgewood Aliso Viejo Center. The schedule is as follows:

5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

  • Program & Presentations

The Meet and Greet is your chance to shake hands with our newly-elected officials. After some mingling and a few appetizers on the patio, we’ll dive into their presentations and uncover issues that are affecting our community and businesses.

Congresswoman Young Kim will share her insights into issues of:

  • Public safety
  • Organized retail crimes
  • Increasing access to capital for small businesses
  • Countering the aggression of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) – especially in South Asia

 

Assemblymember Diane Dixon will offer her impression of her first six months in Sacramento, before informing attendees of urgent legislation that directly impacts Aliso Viejo residents.

 

Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley will discuss a range of goals that she plans to address, from reducing homelessness to supporting small businesses. Topics that will be covered are:

  • Reducing homelessness by investing in comprehensive health services
  • Long-term housing for veterans, foster youth, and seniors
  • Investing in sustainable infrastructure to boost regional mobility and housing
  • Supporting local businesses by creating local jobs
  • Building attainable housing and expanding technical career education
  • Improving crime prevention to ensure our neighborhoods are safe
  • Safeguarding taxpayer dollars and improving access to county services
