The New Year is here. The Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce wishes all of our business owners a wonderful 2019. If you’re a business owner, you’re probably trying to balance taking some time away from work with planning another year of success. Here’s where to start:
You have achieved a lot this year!
Think of all the people you met this year and the new business relationships you started. Remember the difference you made in people’s lives and how your business enhanced someone else’s. You put in a great deal of hard work and need to be willing to recognize your achievements. Not everyone can do what you do, so be proud of your accomplishments. Think about all of those happy faces in your life. You helped put that smile there.
Setting Your New Year’s Resolutions
The key to your New Year’s Resolutions is that there is a clear deadline to make them happen. Set your resolutions with the goal that you will be able to achieve them in one year. Be smart about your goals by making it a measurable goal. For example, your resolution could be to do more local networking. The first action would be to join local networking groups (like the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce) and commit to making three valuable connections per month. This way you can check in with yourself to figure out if you are following through on the resolutions you set out for yourself!
Setting Personal Resolutions
Your business is your most prized project and takes a lot of your time and attention. However, it is essential not to forget about your personal goals. Do you wish you spent more time with your family? Set a goal to do one family-oriented activity per week, like a day in the Renaissance ClubSport. Maybe you can lose a few pounds? Set a resolution to get a gym membership at F45 Training, and commit to going three times per week.
You should always try to live your best life!
Whatever you choose to make your New Year’s Resolution, we hope that you will excel at it. Your resolutions need to be for you to help you achieve a better and happier life.
