We sat down with the founder, Jeremy Webb, to discuss the journey of Webb’s Grainworks, the inspiration behind its unique combination of a distillery, brewery, and cookery, and what the future holds for this pioneering venture in Aliso Viejo.

Q: Can you tell us about the journey that led to the creation of Webb’s Grainworks and its establishment in Aliso Viejo?
A: “Webb’s is the culmination of a life lived less ordinary. I have lived an eclectic life, pursuing my passions and honing an individual skill set. I built Webb’s as an environment to take all of my life experiences and the knowledge I have gleaned throughout and am able to celebrate it all under one roof.”
Q: Webb’s Grainworks boasts a unique combination of distillery, brewery, and cookery. How do these elements complement each other and create a unique experience for your customers?
A: “I believe good food and good drink go hand-in-hand with a good atmosphere to create an environment in which individuals want to spend their time. We have tailored all of the flavors at Webb’s to complement one another, striving to find crave-able items that suit the varying palate of our diverse community.”
Q: Sustainability and community seem integral to your business. How do you incorporate these values into your daily operations and offerings?
A: “We strive to create a neighborhood establishment that is trustworthy in our practices, paving a road for generational interaction between our business and the community.”
Q: Your menu is described as ‘global comfort food.’ Could you share how you curate your menu to cater to a diverse palate?
A: “Traveling the world and sampling its cuisine has informed my culinary lexicon, filling it with the abounding diversity of global cuisine. Our menu is a collection of my favorite things, curated from the sweet and savory memories of my travels.”
Q: The process of spirit-making is both an art and a science. Can you give us a glimpse into the creativity and precision that goes into crafting your spirits?
A: “I think of whiskey production as more of an art than a science. Sure, the science is there, but much like in cooking, the technique is what differentiates individuals in the same field.”
Q: Hosting events and being a part of community activities is essential for local businesses. Can you share some memorable moments or events that have taken place at Webb’s Grainworks?
A: “Our ribbon-cutting ceremony was fantastic and a great way to kick off our grand opening weekend. We have worked very hard to get to where we are, and cutting the ribbon was a great tactile representation of breaking through, overcoming, and ultimately succeeding in what we had set out to do. I thank the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce for organizing that very special event.”
Q: Looking ahead, what are some exciting developments or plans you have for Webb’s Grainworks that the Aliso Viejo community can look forward to?
A: “Stay tuned. We’re just getting started…”
