In light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, all Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce events have been canceled through the month of March. The State of the City event, originally scheduled for April 2nd, has also been canceled. At this time, the City plans to broadcast the State of the City video during the City Council meeting at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 15th. You can view the event on Cox Communications Channel 851, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and online at AVcity.org.
On Monday, March 16th, the City of Aliso Viejo proclaimed a local emergency. Under the guidance of the Local Health Officer, the City has ceased all nonessential City services through March 31st at this time. The City will continue to provide essential services related to the health, safety and welfare of the community.
Additional Closures:
- The Aquatic Center has closed through the end of March, and all classes have been canceled until further notice. Additional information will be sent regarding billing and rescheduling to current participants.
- All Recreation programs are canceled through April 5th. City staff will begin issuing partial refunds for remaining class meetings and will email receipts to those currently enrolled. A decision will be made by March 31st about April classes.
- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley, Aliso Viejo Branch is closed. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley will reopen to serve members once Capistrano Unified School District operations resume.
- The Senior Mobility program is currently suspended until further notice.
- Orange County Public Libraries has closed all locations through March 31st.
