Taking full advantage of the nice, late-summer temperatures here in Orange County, the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce met for its monthly networking breakfast last Tuesday, August 13th, on the patio of the Aliso Viejo Conference Center.
As current members introduced themselves, the Chamber also took some time to get to know our newest member: Mark Furlan from Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Aliso Viejo. Corpus Christi, located off Aliso Viejo Parkway between Pacific Park Drive and Aliso Creek Road, works to provide community and services for Orange County’s Roman Catholics. The Chamber is excited to have Corpus Christi on board as its newest member.
The Chamber’s monthly meetings are usually indoors throughout the year, so members were happy the weather was nice enough to host the breakfast outdoors on the patio. While members ate, Chamber members Rod Robertson and Rob West from Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream treated everyone to ice cream, which they made on the spot using liquid nitrogen. This isn’t your old fashioned ice cream. With an exciting burst of frigid gas, members saw nitrogen create a rich and smooth ice cream that tastes perfect.
Members rounded out the morning with friendly games of Jenga and cornhole. The Chamber is hoping to continue seeing great weather into the fall so members can continue to connect and socialize in the fresh air!
