Success is essential to our members; whether that’s on a business level, or that means that there are successful and meaningful community partnerships as well.
We recently gathered for our June Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce monthly networking breakfast at the Aliso Viejo Country Club! The breakfast is a highlight for the chamber as we celebrate new members, and we also provide a community for local business owners to better connect with each other.
This month, the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce welcomed two new members – South Marina Pharmacy and the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Orange County (NCADD).
Located on Journey, South Marina Pharmacy is new to the neighborhood. South Marina Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy providing retail and compounding services in Aliso. The Chamber is looking forward to officially welcoming South Marina Pharmacy with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 28th.
NCADD is an Orange County nonprofit dedicated to providing professional resources on alcohol, tobacco, and drug-related issues. The community-based organization often participates in educational presentations about substances-abuse and drunk driving. You can learn more about NCADD’s programs and services here.
Another example of success is the hard work that our Aliso Viejo students have put in during the 2017-2018 school year. To start off the June breakfast, the Chamber of Commerce awarded 10 scholarships to high school seniors in Aliso Viejo! Bob Bunyan handed out the awards. Each recipient received $1,500 for college.
At this month’s breakfast, the Laguna Treatment Hospital gave a very special presentation to their fellow chamber members. Two Behavioral Health Techs from the center, who are also in recovery, presented their stories. Each told their unique and compelling story of substance abuse, and they shared their journey through treatment. It was eye opening for the members, and provided some great insight into the work that Laguna Treatment Hospital provides.
