As the chief executive for Orange County Realtors, the largest local realtor trade association in California, Dave Stefanides is taking on an additional role in 2021. Dave will serve as a Board Director for the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce in the new year.
Representatives from Orange County Realtors are no stranger to serving the AV Chamber. As a member since its inception, Orange County Realtors’ Julie Wright and Heidi Stoops have also held the title of Chamber President in years past.
Dave told the AV Chamber that this year he’s most looking forward to promoting the City’s wonderful shops and businesses while encouraging residents to shop locally! Here are a few more thoughts from the new AVCC Board Director.
AVCC: What is Orange County Realtors?
Dave Stefanides: Orange County Realtors is responsible for elevating professionalism and member success through ethics, education, and connections while protecting property rights. In layman’s terms, we are the equivalent of the Auto Club for Realtors! We assist agents in every aspect of their career from license renewal and continued education to signs and shoe booties.
AVCC: What do you enjoy most about the Aliso Viejo community?
Dave Stefanides: There are so many aspects I enjoy about the Aliso Viejo community. For starters, I can’t get enough of the hills, trees, and spectacular canyon views. I’m grateful for the endless trails and parks as well as the wildlife that lives there.
Our neighbors have become our dear friends, and I’m so impressed by the effort they make decorating for Christmas each year.
The design of the city and its proximity to the Toll Road allows us to get just about anywhere in Orange County within 20 minutes or less. We also have a terrific City Council, great public and private schools, and a homeowners’ association that does a good job maintaining the bucolic landscape.
AVCC: How is Orange County Realtors involved with the community?
Dave Stefanides: I’d like to think that our members are Aliso Viejo’s biggest promoters. Selling homes requires them to know everything about our neighborhoods, schools, services, and of course the wide array of home designs that characterize the town.
AVCC: How has the AV Chamber helped Orange County Realtors?
Dave Stefanides: Collaboration with the Chamber has been useful in protecting certain business practices and private property rights. For our Realtors who are also members of the Chamber, I believe the Chamber offers them the chance to stay informed while also sharing their home-buying and home-selling expertise with fellow chamber members.
