Break out the barbecues; it’s the Fourth of July! What better place to spend the holiday than in your own backyard with family, friends, and your Aliso Viejo neighbors. Our city is sporting red, white, and blue this holiday and we want to celebrate with you. Here’s how:
A Walk in the Park
Looking for some family fun and a local spot to watch the fireworks? Aliso Viejo’s Grand Park is the place to be! Aliso Viejo Community Association hosts the free 4th of July Celebration. From 6-9 p.m., bring the whole family out for face painting, bounce houses, community booths, carnival games, and a performance by Undercover Live Entertainment. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase at the event.
We Like to Call it a “Stay-Cation”
Sometimes, you just need to get away… even if you don’t leave the 92656 zip code. Celebrate the 4th of July by experiencing Aliso the old fashion way, as a tourist! Escape the daily grind and stop by your favorite local shops, restaurants, hiking spots, and all of the other amazing selling points of our great city. You don’t always need a long car ride to consider yourself “on vacation.” Take advantage of the festivities and “pack your bags” for the perfect Aliso Viejo stay-cation.
Playing by the Rules
Your safety, and the safety of others is always the first priority, especially during major holidays and celebrations. Because of that, we want to remind everyone of some of the rules for the 4th. Fireworks are not permitted in Aliso Viejo. Instead, stick around Grand Park for a fun display of AVCA’s fireworks starting at 9:00 PM!
If you are planning to claim a spot for the fireworks show, you will not be allowed to save your space until 6:00 AM. However, a line may begin forming prior to 6:00. Grand Avenue will be closed from City Lights Drive to Vantis on the day of the event from 6:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. for ALL bikes, cars, and pedestrians. We love your furry friends as much as you do, but the celebration at Grand Park is pet-free; only service animals will be allowed. For more information about the event’s rules and regulations, visit the Aliso Viejo Community Association event page here.
The 4th of July is a day to come together and celebrate with your friends, family, and loved ones. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday – Happy Independence Day!
