Jeff Overlie is an artist, designer, and inventor based in Aliso Viejo whose work bridges contemporary art, product design, and luxury manufacturing. With a career spanning several decades, Overlie has built a reputation for combining scientific thinking, geometric precision, and minimalist aesthetics across multiple industries.
In addition to his internationally exhibited fine art practice, Overlie is the founder of Øform, a design studio developing high-end architectural and lifestyle products including sculptural bathtubs, furniture, lighting, and freestanding koi ponds. Each Øform piece reflects Overlie’s signature approach to form—clean geometry, refined proportions, and meticulous material execution—bringing a sculptor’s sensibility into functional design.
Overlie is also the inventor of QUIKHORSE, an innovative modular sawhorse system designed for builders, contractors, and makers. Developed from years of hands-on fabrication experience, QUIKHORSE reimagines the traditional jobsite workhorse with a precision-engineered, adaptable system built for durability and efficiency in professional environments.
Across all of his ventures, Overlie specializes in designing high-end products that merge engineering, craftsmanship, and minimalist design. His work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Laguna Beach and the Contemporary Arts Forum in Santa Barbara, and featured in publications such as ARTnews, Western Interiors, Sunset Magazine, and The Santa Fean. He is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant and completed fellowships with renowned sculptor Beverly Pepper and Japanese master carver Takio Ogai.
Today, Overlie continues to develop new artwork and product designs from his studio in Aliso Viejo, contributing both creative innovation and entrepreneurial energy to the local business community.
