After a 34-year career as an employee benefits adviser, Brian Silvia made a pivotal decision in July 2024 to step away from the corporate world and pursue a more personal, mission-driven path. In August 2024, he launched Azores Insurance Services, an agency built on education, advocacy, and protecting individuals from financial hardship through well-designed health insurance solutions.
Brian and his wife, Susan, relocated from Massachusetts to Mission Viejo in 1986, planting deep roots in the community they’ve called home for nearly four decades. Together, they raised two children and now enjoy time with their two young grandchildren.
His approach is rooted in clarity, education, and doing what’s right for the beneficiary, not in chasing volume or carrier incentives. Instead, Azores Insurance Services thrives on problem-solving, personalized guidance, and trusted referrals reflecting Brian’s longstanding reputation for integrity and service.
Today, the agency’s core specialty is Medicare, where they provide no-fee consultations and a client-first experience. In addition, Azores Insurance Services supports the under-65 marketplace, offering a comprehensive range of individual and family plan options along with employer/small-group health insurance solutions.
Outside of his professional life, Brian is a “wicked big” New England sports fan who proudly follows his Boston teams. He also enjoys live music and the energy of seeing artists perform on stage.
Transitioning from corporate adviser to agency owner represents a return to what matters most: empowering people with knowledge, protecting their financial wellbeing, and delivering health insurance guidance.
