Tyler Brown is a Sr. Manager, R&D Engineering at Glaukos, where he has spent the past decade providing engineering support for manufacturing, designing new products, and helping bring innovative ophthalmic technologies to market. Originally from the Chicagoland area, Tyler attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He relocated to California about 10 years ago and has lived in Aliso Viejo for the past year and a half.
During his time at Glaukos, Tyler has contributed across multiple stages of product development—from early‑stage concept design to hands‑on engineering and guiding products through commercial launch. He is passionate about creating technologies that make a meaningful difference for patients and the clinicians who serve them.
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Marissa, and their fluffy white dog, Barley. He’s also an avid maker and hobbyist, often spending his free time 3D printing and designing custom lamps that blend creativity, engineering, and aesthetics. He has recently turned his custom lamp designs into a new endeavor called Fusable Lamps, which launched its first product on Etsy.
